The Human Rights Research Center (HRRC), in cooperation with the French University in Armenia (UFAR) and with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy (EED), is organizing the "Legal Research and Human Rights Protection Mechanisms" Evening School.
The goal of the Evening School, jointly organized by HRRC and UFAR, is to raise awareness among students and young professionals about international human rights norms and develop skills for conducting quality research in the field of human rights.
The Evening School covers a comprehensive range of topics that provide the knowledge necessary to engage in research and human rights advocacy.
The Evening School is an invaluable opportunity to learn from and interact with leading human rights experts and practitioners in Armenia and beyond.
Participation in the Evening School is open for graduate students (4th year of Bachelor's degree and higher, those who are accomplishing the 3rd year of Bachelor's degree are also eligible) and early career professionals. Foundational understanding and interest in research is a plus.
Participants of the Evening School come from different academic and professional backgrounds, including law, sociology, journalism, economics, health care, education, etc.
The Lecturers of the Evening School are distinguished local and international human rights experts, researchers, and lawyers.
Evening School covers the following key thematic areas:
Research and evidence-based human rights protection.
International and regional human rights mechanisms.
Understanding the application of human rights protection in various contexts.
Application period: May 13 until May 22, 12:00 PM (GMT+4).
Duration of the Evening School: May 29 - June 21.
Working languages: Armenian and English.
Participation in the Evening School is free of charge.
A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the program.
